COPY TESTIMONIAL:

THE

GRAMMAR

SCHOOL

SWANSEA.

91

Mr. D.F. DAVIES of Jesus College, Oxford, was

a pupil of this school from September, 1917 to July 1924.

He had a remarkably successful school career in

every way. In the public examinations for which he entered, Mr. Davies' record was a very distinguished one, the standard

of his work being shown by his success in gaining a Science

Scholarship at Jesus College, Oxford, and I understand that

he has fully maintained this record at Oxford.

Mr. Davies possesses abilities above the average and he knows how to use them in the best possible way, so that I anticipate a very brilliant future for him.

He is also keen and tactful and has a high sense of duty, while I can speak in the highest terms of his

moral character.

I can therefore unreservedly recommend him for

this appointment.

(Signed).

J. TREVOR OWEN.

Headmaster.
